Magnitude 4.7 Earthquake hits Nepal

Kathmandu:  An earthquake measuring 4.7 on Richter scale jolted Sindhupalchowk district in Nepal on Sunday morning creating panic among the residents.


The quake was felt at 80 kilometer away from Kathmandu but no casualties reported so far.


India Meteorological Department forecasted earlier that the region from Uttarakhand to Bengal are under the threat of earthquake and all precautions were being adhered to. Around 9000 persons were killed in Nepal during an earthquake in 2015 with a magnitude of 8.1
