Pampa: An intelligence warning report about deliberate attempts towards breach of rituals at Sabarimala has asked the police to send back any woman who happens to be at Sabarimala and that any other steps by the police would lead to law and order problems.

According to the reports, present conditions at Sannidhanam are very serious; adequate space is not available for the devotees to rest. The space provided by the Devaswom board has been encroached by the police which is giving a tough time to devotees including children. Unnecessary police barricades are also affecting the smooth movement of the devotees, the report says. The report has come in the wake of an increased number of pilgrims due to holiday and vacation in schools.

In Pampa also the police have tightened security measures using barricades near the Ganapati temple. As only two days are left for Mandala Pooja, the inflow of the devotees will be unpredictable and therefore the observers appointed by the High Court  have instructed the police to provide more parking space at Nilakkal immediately and not to wait for next season to come.  The inflow of pilgrims is expected to double during the next Makara vilakku festival.
