Security forces killed a militant in Handwara

The Indian Army said that the Pakistani troops, without any provocation from India, are attacking at Krishnagati and Sundarbani near the Line of Control, using heavy weapons. Strict surveillance is being deployed in the area.

Srinagar: Pakistani aggression at LoC, ahead of Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's visit to Kashmir. The security forces and the militants encountered at Handwara of Jammu Kashmir. One militant has been gunned down and the security forces are conducting search operations for others.

Pakistan has deployed more troops at the Line of Control. The Indian Army said that the Pakistani troops, without any provocation from India, are attacking at Krishnagati and Sundarbani near the Line of Control, using heavy weapons. Strict surveillance is being deployed in the area.  

The security forces have been conducting strict and extensive searches in Jammu and Kashmir after the Pulwama attack on February 14. The security forces have destroyed militant's hideouts in Shopian a day before.

The militant hideouts were destroyed in the joint operation by the Jammu and Kashmir police and Rashtriya Rifles. Weapons and other explosives were seized from the terrorist hideouts.
