Kozhikode: The High Court on today granted bail for P K Prakash Babu, who was remanded for Sabarimala issue in connection with blocking a woman from entering the holy shrine of Sabarimala at the Chithira Attavishesha Festival.
The BJP Yuva Morcha President was remanded by Ranni Judicial First Class Magistrate Court. The youth leader was at the forefront of the protests against the entry of women at Sabarimala. The Kerala government, in a bid to quell the peaceful protests of the Hindu community, took stringent actions against the leaders spearheading the agitations.
Ranni First Class Magistrate Court had given special permission for Prakash Babu for filing nomination.
The campaign for the NDA Candidate was in full swing in Kozhikode even in his absence. In last Lok Sabha election, BJP had scored one lakh and fifteen thousand votes and the party expects a great success in this election.
