Srinagar: Security forces have gunned down two militants in Jammu Kashmir’s Anantnag district this morning. Arms and ammunition have been recovered from the spot. Based on a specific tip-off about the presence of the terrorist security personnel launched a cordon and search operations (CASO), and the militants started firing at them.
The army retaliated strongly and killed both of them in the encounter lasted for two hours. They were identified as Safar Ameen Bhat, and Burhan Ahmed Gani, both belong to Kashmir.
After the Pulwama attack on February 14 in Kashmir, the security forces destroyed many Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists’ camps, and they killed 69 terrorists in 2019, Lt. General KJS Dhillon had informed earlier.
