28 killed and 10 injured as a passenger bus hit a roadside bomb in Afgan; Taliban suspected to be behind the attack
Kabul: At least 28 people, including children and women, were killed when a passenger bus hit a roadside bomb in western Afghanistan. 10 people are being treated for injuries. The attack took place around 6 am on Wednesday on the Kandahar-Herat highway.
According to authorities, the Taliban is the mastermind of the attack. However, this has not been confirmed. The attack follows the suicide attack last Sunday that killed 20 people. The attacks have escalated following the announcement of the Presidential election in Afghanistan.
