Fire broke out in Apartment in Delhi; 6 people including 2 children killed, death toll likely to increase

New Delhi: 11 injured and six people, including two children, were killed as a fire broke out in a flat in Zakir Nagar, Delhi. The fire broke out in an electric box in the building and spread throughout the building around 2 am.

The building is located next to Jamia Millia University. Some were injured while trying to escape from the fire by jumping off the building. Some of them are reported to be in critical condition.

Seven cars and eight bikes parked outside the building burned down in the fire. The fire was completely extinguished after the efforts by eight fire engines, throughout the night.
